The Tajik National University (TNU) delegation led by the rector, Professor Nasriddinzoda Emomali is on a working visit to Japan.
The delegation includes vice-rector for international relations, Professor Gafforzoda Ilyosjon and head of the department of European Studies, Associate Professor Akbarshoh Najmiddinov.
At the beginning of the trip, the delegation visited the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan and met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan Jalolov Mirzosharif. The Ambassador introduced the guests to the history and activities of the Embassy.
It is worth noting that diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Japan were established on February 2, 1992. The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan has been operating since November 28, 2007. The Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Tajikistan – since January 26, 2002.
Today, the TNU delegation visited the office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and met with representatives of the East and Central Asia Department. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the results and prospects of scientific, technical and educational cooperation.
