GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SPECIALITY 1-31030302 – APPLIED MATHEMATICS
A specialist in applied mathematics is trained to work in research institutions, computer and information centers, institutes of system programming, government agencies, institutions of secondary and higher vocational education, banking structures, as well as in enterprises, organizations and institutions of various forms of ownership, stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan. The area of professional activity of the specialist includes mathematical modeling, methods and software for analysis, processing and decision-making in production, scientific, educational, business, economic, social, managerial, medical and other spheres.
1. Information about the specialty
The name, code and group of the specialty 1-31030302 – Applied Mathematics corresponds to the State Classifier of Directions and Specialties of the Republic of Tajikistan, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 349 dated June 30, 2007.
The bachelor’s program in the specialty 1-31030302 – Applied Mathematics is accredited in accordance with certificate No. 0000914 dated July 17, 2019, issued by the State Service for Supervision in Education (now the Agency for Control in Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan). This program was revised in May 2021 and implemented from the 2021-2022 academic year.
2. Graduate qualification
After mastering the educational program of specialty 1-31030302 – Applied Mathematics in full-time education, the graduate is awarded:
• professional qualification – Applied Mathematics (scientific and pedagogical activity);
• professional degree – bachelor “Mathematician-programmer. Teacher of mathematics and computer science”.

A specialist in the specialty 1-31030302 – Applied Mathematics, having fundamental and specialized training, can perform the following types of professional activity:

5. Documents regulating the content and process of implementing the educational program in the specialty 1-31030302 – applied mathematics
1) The educational program has been developed on the basis of the State Standard of Higher Professional Education of the Republic of Tajikistan and regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of education, and further processing of its applications must comply with the requirements of the following documents:

– National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan, approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 3.03.2006 No. 94;
– State Standard of Higher Professional Education of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 25.02.2017 No. 94;
– State Classifier of Directions and Specialties of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 30.06.2007 No. 349;

2) The state standard of higher professional education of the Republic of Tajikistan defines the requirements for the content and minimum mandatory content of the educational program, the conditions of implementation and the timing of development.
3) In the process of implementing the educational program in the specialty 1-31030302-Applied Mathematics, the following sets of mandatory documents are involved: the curriculum for the specialty, the academic work program, practice programs, the curriculum of the subject and syllabuses. The minimum requirements for the content of the above documents are reflected in the State standard of higher professional education of the Republic of Tajikistan.

5) The educational program must take into account the mandatory study of the sections and modules specified in paragraph 3 of this document.
6) Sections and modules of the educational program consist of compulsory subjects of the state and university component, elective subjects, optional classes, practical training and final certification.
7) The list of sections, modules and subjects of the state component of the educational program complies with the requirements of the document “Classification of educational subjects by sections and modules”.
6. Provision and support of students
The University has a material and technical base that meets the requirements of the current rules and regulations of fire safety and allows for all types of subject training, practical and research activities arising from this document.
Each student has unlimited access to the library (electronic library) and the electronic information and educational environment during their studies. The electronic library and the electronic information and educational environment can provide access to the student from any point where it is possible to connect to it via the Internet. The electronic information and educational environment of the University has the following capabilities: access to curricula, work programs of subjects and practices, electronic resources of educational materials, publications of electronic library systems that are specified in the educational programs of the subject; marking the educational process, the results of stage-by-stage testing and the results of mastering the educational program; conducting all forms of lessons, the process of assessing learning outcomes, the implementation of which is carried out taking into account the use of electronic education and distance learning technologies.
