Scientific and methodological council

The Scientific and Methodological Council of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics is one of the key governing bodies of the faculty’s academic and scientific-methodological activities. Its main goal is to improve the quality of education, adapt the educational process to modern requirements, and train competitive specialists.

The Council’s activities are focused on the following areas:

  • Development, review, and approval of academic and subject programs;
  • Coordination of curricula with state standards for higher education;
  • Review and recommendation of textbooks, teaching aids, and teaching aids for publication and use in the educational process;
  • Promoting the implementation of modern and innovative teaching methods, including the use of information technology;
  • Consideration of issues related to improving the professional level of teachers and their professional development;
  • Coordination of scientific and methodological activities between the faculty’s departments.

The council is comprised of experienced faculty and specialized specialists from the faculty, and its meetings are held monthly throughout the year according to an approved plan. Decisions made regarding improving the educational process and developing scientific and methodological activities have practical implications for all departments and faculty members.
